The Centers of Excellence and Expertise (CEEs) have been contacting importers requesting site visits and interviews at the importers' facility.
If contacted, the designated person from your company should receive an email like this:
“My name is JOHN SMITH and I am an import specialist with MACHINERY-CEE team JBS. We would like to interview the importer IMPORTER COMPANY NAME, whose account is assigned to our team, and we are requesting through you their access information so we can contact them directly. Please provide contact information as CBP would like to conduct an importer visit on an agreeable date and time during the week of DATE. To set up the interview-appointment, we will be needing the name(s) and email address of the person(s) who will be attending this interview. The objectives of this interview are to gain general knowledge of the company and their imports and to provide some information and answers to any questions the importer may have. An agenda and questions will be provided in advance. All information will be kept confidential.
